PHGG - Invisible Fibre For Visible Health

We had tried three fibres before this one. Two clouded the drink and the third needed a reformulation we could not justify. Fibre 365 went in at 5g a bottle and our sensory panel could not separate it from the control.

Consistency is the whole game for us. We have been running their PHGG in a stick-pack format for two years and the viscosity figures have not moved between lots.

What we actually needed was documentation that would not hold up a shipment. The certificate of analysis arrives with every lot and the declarations were ready before we asked for them.

We dose it after pasteurisation and the set on our yoghurt is unchanged. That was the thing we were most worried about, and it simply was not an issue.

Viscosity is the constraint that rules most fibres out of tube feeds. This one stays thin at the inclusion level we need, which is why it made it through our trials.

Our customers are quick to complain about texture or aftertaste. Since we reformulated with Fibre 365 we have had none, and the fibre claim went straight onto the front of pack.

It survives the bake without us touching the hydration. For a bakery pre-mix that is unusual, and it saved us a development cycle.

Lead times have held even when the guar market moved. Dealing with the people who actually process the material rather than a trading desk makes a visible difference.

We trialled it in a wet pet food line expecting problems and found none. The technical team answered process questions the same day, which is not something we take for granted.
